Dipzy has embraced music since he was five years old, mastering the timbales, congas, and drums at an early age thanks to his upbringing in Miami, FL and his Cuban heritage.
After years of developing his skills and technique as a multi-instrumentalist, he realized that the essence of live music could be amplified through electronic music production. The tech house scene in Miami showed him he could take styles he already loved — from neo-soul, reggae, and even metal — and incorporate that into this new medium. Dipzy started crafting his samples using bass guitars, analog synths, acoustic drums, guitar FX pedals, and of course, his mouth to create a sound that cannot be replicated. His goal has always been to keep raw musicality intact while exploring the intricacies of dance music.
His first major release ‘Wobble Like’ was through Dirtybird and charted on the Top 100 Tech House on Beatport, gaining support from label boss Claude VonStroke early in his musical career. His recent ‘Pain & Pleasure’ EP with Black V Neck saw massive success as its lead track peaked at the #2 position of Beatport’s Top 100 Bass House chart. His momentum into 2022 has continued with original releases on This Ain’t Bristol and Parasoul, bringing a wavy, uplifting soundtrack into the new year for house lovers everywhere. Dipzy is grateful to have the constant support of major underground house players like Shiba San, Green Velvet, Solardo, Rebuke, Kyle Watson, CID, Noizu, Treasure Fingers, Steve Darko and Lucati to world-renowned artists like DJ Snake and Oliver Heldens.
Dipzy has become a highly requested touring act, breaking out of the Miami market into other U.S. cities that are craving new talent. Venues he’s performed at include: Treehouse in Miami, Celine in Orlando, Munchie’s in Fort Lauderdale, Dirtybird Campout West 2021, PB Avenue in San Diego and Sound Nightclub (Space Yacht) in Los Angeles.
